Specializing in Anxiety, Depression, Trauma and Addiction
Anxiety
Did you know? More than 40 million American adults experience anxiety each year. We will work together to develop tools that you can use to overcome anxious thoughts.
Abuse
Some examples of abuse are: physical, verbal and emotional. Any form of abuse damages our ability to have healthy relationships. We will look at ways to identify signs of abuse and to walk with God while He does the healing.
Depression
Many who struggle with depression have trouble completing day-to-day activities and may sometimes feel as if life is not worth living. We will aspire to develop healthy thought patterns. Philippians 4:8 says: "Keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind."
Addiction
We often think of addiction only as it relates to drugs and alcohol. However, addiction goes beyond these two substances alone. We will dive deep below the surface-level symptoms into the heart of the problem; seeking to find solutions that best enable you to live a happy and healthy life.
Self-Esteem
To change the way that we see ourselves, we must change the way that we think. Together, we will explore God's Word to discover the truth of who you really are.
Trauma
There are three types of trauma. Acute trauma results from a single incident. Chronic trauma is repeated and prolonged such as domestic violence and abuse. Complex trauma is exposure to varied and multiple traumatic events. According to the American Psychological Association, trauma is “an emotional response to a terrible event like an accident, rape, or natural disaster.”
